Inhibits beta-glucuronidase, an enzyme that 'uncouples' detoxified compounds in the gut and recirculates them. Useful adjunct for estrogen clearance in both sexes.
Dose: 500-1500mg daily.
Caveats: Very safe. May reduce blood levels of some medications metabolized via glucuronidation.
