GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates pituitary growth hormone release via the ghrelin receptor.
Mechanism — Binds GHSR-1a (ghrelin receptor) to trigger pulsatile GH release. More potent than GHRP-6 but with cleaner appetite effects. Synergistic with GHRH analogs (CJC-1295, sermorelin).
Use case — Used in stacks with a GHRH analog for GH-axis support. Typical research dosing 100-300 mcg subcutaneous 1-3x/day, away from meals. Best paired with a GHRH for amplified release.
Caveats — Raises cortisol and prolactin modestly. Ipamorelin is the cleaner cousin if either is a concern. Not first-line if cortisol management is the goal.
