At standard doses, naltrexone blocks opioid receptors (used for addiction). At ~1-5mg dose, brief receptor blockade triggers compensatory upregulation of endorphins and modulation of immune function. Used off-label for autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and as a general inflammation modulator.
Dose: Start 1.5mg at night, titrate to 3-4.5mg.
Caveats: Vivid dreams initially. Avoid with opioid pain medications. Need a compounding pharmacy.
