EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are the long-chain omega-3s you can't make from plant ALA in meaningful quantities. They lower inflammation, support membrane function, and are critical for brain and cardiovascular health.

Dose: 2-3g combined EPA+DHA daily. Most products understate the active dose. Check the label, not the capsule weight.

Caveats: Oxidation matters. Buy from a reputable brand, store cool. Mild blood-thinning effect; pause before surgery.
