Fat Loss (Aggressive) protocol diagram

The fastest weight loss protocol with the best evidence base is GLP-1 + lifestyle. 12 weeks at peak dose produces 10-15% body weight loss in most users. The protocol's job is to protect what matters during that loss: muscle mass and metabolic adaptation.

01 · CANDIDATE CHECK

02 · TITRATION

Weeks 1-4. Slow start.

Semaglutide 0.25 → 0.5 mg, or Tirzepatide 2.5 → 5 mg. Weekly.

Most side effects (nausea, constipation, fatigue) happen during titration. Push through with anti-nausea management, not by skipping doses or speeding the ladder.

  • Hydration 2.5L+ daily
  • Fiber 30g+ daily
  • Anti-nausea: ginger, B6, peppermint
  • Stop at the lowest dose that produces appetite suppression

03 · ACTIVE LOSS

Weeks 5-10. Maximum effective dose.

Hold at the dose that produces ~1-2 lb/week loss.

Protein at 1g per pound of lean mass. This is the most important variable. GLP-1s suppress appetite, including for protein — actively prioritize protein at every meal.

Resistance training 3-4x/week. Non-negotiable. Without it, ~30% of weight lost is muscle. With it, ~10-15% is muscle.

Walking quota: 8,000+ steps daily. NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis) preservation.

Mid-point check: Week 8: re-weigh, re-measure. Losing ~1 lb/week or faster: maintain dose. Faster than 2 lb/week: you're losing too much muscle. Slow down, increase protein, or drop a dose tier.

04 · OFFRAMP

Weeks 11-12 and beyond.

Hold at peak for 3-6 months, then taper.

Don't stop suddenly. Appetite rebound + lower resting metabolic rate = weight regain.

Standard taper: hold at peak dose until goal hit + 3 months. Then step down one rung every 4-8 weeks. Hold at each step until weight stable 4 weeks.

Maintenance dose: many users find a 25-50% dose works long-term for appetite control without continued loss.

05 · TRACKING

Weekly numbers.

  • Weight (morning, fasted, weekly average)
  • Waist + hip circumference
  • Bi-weekly progress photos (front, side, back)
  • Strength on big lifts (proxy for muscle preservation)
  • DEXA at start and end if budget allows
